Shophouse Refurbishment. Singapore

The original property was built in the 1930s. Our founder Luther Seet worked closely with the owners to retain most of the existing features and to give the interior a new courtyard that is the heart of the house. Through the resourcefulness of the owners, they filled the house with color and beautiful balinese pieces, to transform this refurbishment project into a boutique tropical abode.

Timber craftwork, rattan furniture, upcycled windows and doors, these elements form a kaleidoscope of textures and colors throughout the house. The facade was painted a peranakan color mix to standout on the streetscape. Original palms were retained to frame the facade the the 2 ends.

The final configuration was a 4 bed-room space with a central courtyard,  with double glazed windows facing the busy street to ensure a tranquil interior.
