Mar de Frades Wine Experience. Valiñas, Spain

Nestled in the heart of Galicia’s renowned wine region, the Mar de Frades Valiñas estate offers a unique blend of tradition and modernity, where the art of Albariño wine production meets an unparalleled hospitality experience. This project aims to elevate the brand's connection to its surroundings by creating an immersive journey for visitors, celebrating both the region’s natural beauty and the craftsmanship behind every bottle of Mar de Frades wine.

The design embraces the stunning landscape with expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean and lush vineyards. Large windows flood the interior with natural light, seamlessly blending the indoors with the surrounding environment. Every space offers panoramic views of the vineyards and ocean, creating a harmonious connection with the estate’s natural contours.

The two-level project enhances the visitor experience. The "Mirador Level" welcomes guests with a dramatic entrance plaza and a breathtaking lookout over the sea and vineyards. Inside, a glass façade connects visitors to the landscape, while a shop offers a chance to take home a piece of the Mar de Frades experience.

On the "Vineyard Level," guests enjoy wine tastings and events in spaces with stunning views. The building’s design is inspired by the ocean’s waves, with an undulating copper roof that reflects the essence of Albariño wine. Sustainability plays a key role, with solar panels, rainwater collection, and locally sourced materials reinforcing the project’s commitment to the environment.
